What was such a pain in the *** about it? What all required minor tweaking besides the throttle linkage? Was the main problem with your filtering system or something else?

It is my shop (Business). Every thing was a pain. The first pain was extending wires. I had to extend the fuel injector wires on the passenger side 4-6", Coil pack main connector wires extended 4-6" on both sides, extend the MAP sensor connector wires 4-6". I had problems with TPS. I installed the tps sensor on the lower spot next to the #1 intake runner. It was not reading. I thought the sensor went bad. I installed a new one. It worked for a little bit then it quit. I finially realized the arm was turning in the wrong direction breaking the internals on the sensors. I then moved the sensor up the higher spot on the front of the intake. It rotates in the right direction. Next the tps voltage was out of range, it was reading below .20 volts. This caused the computer to negate the idle air trims. It also would not go 100% throttle. I spent 4-5 hours adjusting the linkage to get it to run right and reach 100%. It is still idling high, so I have more adjusting to do tomorrow. The intake also leaned out the air fuel at idle. The trims were in the 30's. I threw some fuel at it and now it runs better.

The intake really smoothed out the idle. It is a huge cam and you can hardly tell it has a cam. The throttle response is amazing when I just flash the throttle quickly. I still have alot of work to do on it, but I did get a video of it at idle and it is below. I will post more tomorrow.

Sounds like it was one hell of a pain in the ***. Especially hours upon hours of adjusting throttle linkage. Regretfully, for some odd unknown reason my computer doesn't have sound, but I look forward to future updates.

About how big of a cam is that? Idle has a small burble like a tiny miss. If you have a really big cam and it only sounds like that then WOW.

Is that on a 346!? or a 408? Either way, that's a big cam. I'm impressed.

The sound volume on my was low. I was hoping it was just the laptop speakers.

It was and still is a pain. But hopefully it will be worth it. I'm getting to know that intake pretty good.

No, sorry my computer never has sound. I have no ******* clue what the **** is wrong with it. I've done all sorts of checks and looked things up on the internet, but it still doesn't work. The only form of sound I'll ever get is my tower will beep periodically, but that's it.

That's a big cam, solid roller?

That's eventually what I want to do to my car. Solid roller 427, dry sump, et 4.1 LS7 heads, custom LS7 ITB, NX SX2 dual stage direct port, etc...

Oddly enough, I've run into all the same issues with my install. We actually had a grind a piece of the intake to clear some washers to get it to sit properly on the ETP heads. We should start our own support group for this thing.

Oh yeah I'm NOT a fan of this intake right now..

Issues so far:
1. Flat plain that mates to the intake side of the head needs to machined to clear upper head bolts/studs. Check that one out if you havent already I bet its got witness marks on it! This was creating tons of little vacuum leaks..

2. Even with the butterflies completely closed (and the IAC) closed LOL this thing wont idle below 1700 RPM ARRRGH!

3. Throttle adjustement, there isnt a ton of slack in the cable to take up the difference on this thing and once you DO get it adjusted the throttle cam hits the adjuster locknut..

I want to cry, this thing is a royal PITA but it DOES sound awesome!

Has anyone talked to Harrop or any of the Aussie guys who are running them? I imagine someone over there has it figured out.

Mike from Harrop USA has been over to see my car and worked with Chris on the setup. We are "discussing" the problems with Australia. I'll let you know what we find out from them.

Yup Mike at Harrop has been AWESOME so far hes been out to our shop to address these issues, in fact he was the one that found the witness marks from where it was hitting the upper head bolts. We are doing our best to get it worked out but so far it's been pretty interesting, I'm not sure it will ever idle given how it reacts right now.

It is at 1000 right now. I would like to lower it to 900, but I'm not sure this manifold will let me. I have the throttle blades completely closed and idle air flow around 2 grams when warm. The computer closes the idle air control motor all the way. That is what I'm working on now.
