Fast 90 Intake porting..

I believe that mono blade is a fair amount wider than 90 mm to compensate for the fact it's shorter in height, so I wouldn't be surprised if it did flow about the same. I have never flowtested one of those to verify.
Do you know how wide that blade is?

If I just removed the large ridges in the runners and made sure to smooth it out as best as i could is there a possibility that I caused any harm?

Depends on how aggressive you got and how stright the walls were when you were finished. Sounds like you didnt go to crazt so your probably in good shape.
89GTA that sounds about right, or should I say the area of that oval blade would be similar to a round 90 mm so the airflow should be close.

ok so this afternoon, i had a shop tell me not to get the FAST 90/90 with the NICK WILLIAMS TB, wtf? they said it (the TB blade) would catch/bind and idle high until you blip the throttle to correct it (say while waiting at a stoplight). everything i have read says those are the charateristics of the FAST 90tb. can some of you chime in and give me your thoughts on this. i was really surprised to hear about this in regards to the NW 90tb. TIA...

I dont believe I have seen a single issue with them....I wouldn't be concerned in the event you already own one.

Well Im new to this Ls1 forum. I jumped over to keep an eye on this Fast 90 topic because I was waiting to get my own installed. I have a 1999 MN6 corvette. Bunches of both ons and heads, cam (230/232) long tubes.....the whole nine yards! WELL......I got it installed!
First off I did a 'home port' just like a lot of guys on here seem to be doing. Just a smoothing with fine grit and took out those weird ridges. I got the LS2 90mm TB and replaced a ported and polished TB and LS6 intake manifold. The car has heads and cam already.
After the install of the Fast 90 intake, TB, and an ASP underdrive pulley I gained 11 friggin HP!! Yes......11!! I dont have the dyno sheet with me at this point to give particulars but to say the least....I am really disappointed!! I have no idea what happened to this $2000.00 investment!!

I posted this in the dyno section too.
Dyno graph is best pull last year with exhaust with 4.11's unported FAST intake and hooker 1.3/4 super-comps hooker ory
And with the addition of a 3" steel drive shaft 4.30's edelbrock stepped race headers edelbrock ory and self ported FAST intake. I was surprised that I gained anything I was skeptical on the drive train lose. pulls were though exhaust.

sorry we didnt make any real pulls with this setup tony, had a really bad rod knock coming from it so it will have to be torn apart. I have a ported FAST 90/90 now that I just bought, 0 miles on it. How do I take it apart to findout for sure that it was ported? anyone have pics of the areas for me to look at, so that I can comapre...?
also what are good replacements for the valley bolts, size, length, etc? i have one bad bolt that I need to replace before I can install it...

Email me a pic of the port outlets if you are uncertain but it should be readily apparent just by taking a look.
