Default Gapless vs Conventional rings in boosted application...

I am curious what the prevailing wisdom on this board is concerning the two different ring types in boosted applications...

And which groove do you think it is better to run the gapless ring on, the first or second ring groove and why...?

Also what kind of end gap do you like on both the first and second ring gap for boosted application...?

Only on the top is a gapless worth something.

You might give Total Seal a call. There TNT sets are gapless top and for boosted and nitrous applications. Bret, which brand would you use?

I'm with you on that one. Do you know where I can find a good article to that effect, got a guy that swears by 2nd gapless rings - compiling a case against them. Didn't D. Morgan write something a while back?

First rule about it is you don't talk about it...

When I do N2O or boosted stuff that is going to see bad ring temps I use the TNT stuff from Total Seal they have them in any gap setup you want.

OK...Lots of "talk? about "unmentionable's"...

But it's a little short on info for the original questions...

As far as these two posts...What seems to be the thinking on why a gapless ring in the second ring groove is not a good idea in boosted applications...?

Only on the top is a gapless worth something.
