Default Is it possible to run our cars on a HHO Generator?

I have done some research on HHO generators, they seem like the way to go in saving gas. I love driving my car as a DD and i think it's a bad *** idea to try this on my car. A efficient system gives you like 50% more fuel economy! Just go to Youtube and look up hho generators to see what i am talking about if yall dont already know. I just dont know how to run this system past the o2 sensors? Is there a way to run simulators on the front o2's to trick the system into not thinking it is running lean? I will continue to do more research on this but if someone out there already knows please shed some light.
Thanks..

Those are total bullshit gimmicks. I won't waste bandwidth explaining why in a "technical" manner.

X3!!!!

This can be proven in a technical manner, however, it is not worth your time to even think about it.

This ranks up there with the "200 mpg" Carburetor.. "the auto companies have the technology but they have contracts with the oil companies"

I will leave this comment.. Automotive engineers are typically smarter than the backyard mechanics/slick salesmen/youtube posters. If there was an 'easy' way to increase your MPG they would already be doing it..

Really? I mean my dads been making these things for years, its no effing 50% more or anything maybe 10-15%. But his are more complex than those shitty ebay ones.....as for the technical part of it you would have to ask him.

There is no such thing as HHO gas. That should clue you in as to the rest of the claims.

HHO gas would be H2O gas... in other words, steam.

There is no such thing as a free lunch, ride, perpetual motion machine, etc...

Thumbs down

HHO Generator?

Seriously, if you're this concerned about gas mileage - you're driving the wrong car.
Either way, Jay Leno has some cars that run on steam... maybe he'll sell you one.

or you could put a Tornado on your car .......................

Wait...I think he's on to something. Wasn't Hyde from "That 70s Show" always talking about a government conspiracy to suppress the car that runs on water?

here you go:

EDIT: by the way if you don't want to read all that, I'll just tell you that it defies the laws of physics.

the name of that poster in that link was roofingguy,
how the hell can a guy who roofs blog out stuff like that... good will hunting or what?

i can just imagine the conservations up on a roof with this guy,
jack: hey roofingguy, pass the bucket of shingles.
roofinguy: here you go jack, by the way did you know these asphalt shingles require 38.67 Kjoules of energy to make but will absorb 42.556 Kj of sunlight energy.

You can also check out this thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/racer-s-lounge/937192-water-hydrogen-gas-update.html

I debated a guy here about it, but since I just do bodywork maybe the the fact that I did really well in physics doesn't really matter. Oh and there is another guy in the thread who was an engineer that worked on alternative fuel sources, who backed me up, oh but he builds cars now so we shouldn't listen to him. Come on I can't stand it when people think that just because some people decide to go into one area of work (because maybe they enjoy it) that they are less intelligent than people working in offices all day.

I debunked one of these systems. This particular one used magnets to align gas molecules.... That's funny, they aren't polar and organic, you might be able to induce a slight spin, but that's an atomic level effect so its useless
It then said it supplied electricty to water to produce hydrogen gas. It then used the hydrogen to supplement the normal gas mixture and get multiples of better mileage. Except it might only get 3mpg better in reality. Oh, it also leans the **** out of the afr so new pistons will be on your agenda in very short order

its worth noting that there is a Le Mans team trying outn a elteric generator to recoop some power on the cars. they say it can add something like 20% power or increase the milage...

also it was talked about that F1 teams where going to do something similar....

Chris.
