I just want to have my steering wheel rewrapped with more padding and made thicker. I like how the wheel feels and the shape and geometry of it, I just want it to be thicker, like the older 4th gen camaro's had.
So does anyone know of a place that will rewrap a steering wheel?

Yeah, that's not a problem. Simply pull the battery cable, disconnect the electrical connections, and use a sterring wheel puller and it's off in a half hour.
It's not a daily driver, so I wouldn't mind if it took a week or two to get it rewrapped.
Why, do you know someone that can do that?

I ended up using sevaral resistors wired together. I cant remember If I just plugged them into the harness, or If I cut off the harness and spliced the resistors into the actual wires. If I get a chance tomorrow, Ill pull my wheel off and look what I did. Its been like 6 months since I did it.

Okay, heres the thread that I used for directions:

Post #25, and it even has a pic. I just took 4 resistors like it said, and twisted the leads on each side of the resistor together to essentially make one big one, and then inserted the ends into the plug and taped it all up, and that was it.

the more I look at the GTP wheel the more it doesnt seem like much
of an improvement over a stock TA wheel. but I really hate having a stock wheel. too bad there is not a after market company for these. Im sure its too much of a liability issue
