LED license plate...my way (cheap).
Purchased a $10 (maybe a couple more) led light bar from super bright leds dot com. Removed the old license plate bulb holder assembly, soldered the light bar in, cleaned the inside of the bumper off, got some double sided tape, and shazam. I've had this on the car for a while just got around to posting pics.

Looks good, I like the color and spread that those LEDs have. I've played around making boards for the license plate before in the past and lately started doing it again. Basically I've been trying to get that custom look without having a super bright plate or a giant bright hot spot on the ground underneath my bumper . I think I got it down pretty well now. Best of all it plugs into the factory wiring and screws into the factory location.
Notice the ground is not photoshopped to eliminate the reflection on the ground, I've noticed some people doing that.
I threw an extra one together for one of my buddies, but he wanted a brighter one, so he got my old one that was brighter and this one replaced. I'll prolly throw the extra light I have in the FS section soon.
I like all the LED threads lately, improved lighting technology seems to be a hot topic.

Ill post some pics of mine later. I made mine the old fashioned way. Board, LED's, Resistors. Its got 23 or 25 leds and its hella bright. Its held up for about 3yrs now with no problems.
