Default Just a Thought...

I just had my camaro painted last month and I'd like to have a "future mod" should I get into a fender bender.

I hope this doesn't happen but if it does, I'd fill in the emblem's indention and smooth the middle line of the front bumper to match my hood.

What do ya'll think of this crude paint sketch?

AS IT IS:

Thats lookin like an Ultra-Z hood if you do that in the hood not the bumper. I don't know I'd have to see it. Otherwise cool idea doing that cutout in the bumper.

^ The scoop/vent opening would be in the bumper not the hood.

Again, these are just ideas.

I saw this stripe on another thread.
What about this Flat Black Stripe:

with pin stripe outline

w/o pin stripe outline

I like the idea of a scoop in the bumper (similar to the Z06s)!!

As far as the stripe, you are looking at something similar or spot-on to this:

Agreed.

You have got to fix the fitment of the headlights. The weather stripping is supposed to be on the inside, not sticking out like that...

I just got the car back from paint 3 weeks ago.
These cheap ebay headlights require more adjustment than I have had time to spend on them.
I don't drive the car too much anymore and I don't have a lot of free time.

I'm gonna take the headlights out, take off the stripping, remove the adhesive, install the headlights, mark the area where the stripping needs to be, remove the headlights, then apply adhesive to the stripping and line it up to the markings I've made, install them once again and align the light ouput once again.

Am I missing anything?

I think this would look good. When and if I ever get my car repainted this will get done.

I like it, to each there own.

Try to integrate the scoop into the bumper and hood, like the trans am do. See how that looks.
