zaino is being tempermental

I bought some ZFX and used it for a car show. first coat wouldnt come off too well. it was almost greasy. i loaded it down with Z6 and it was almost ok. I was putting it on really light too. i think at the rate i was going i could get like 8 coats out of the 2 oz. bottle. i also waited 45mins-1hr for it to dry too. it was dry for sure. three more coats of Z5 and it starts looking kinda greasy. i wipe it and it goes to another spot. Today i ZFXed it with Z2- got 2 coats on and it is looking bad. something is making it look really greasy- what could it be? Im wiping it down with Z6 inbetween and its not helping. do you think im using too much ZFX? im using 10 drops (what zaino distributer told me) for 2 full oz. AT any rate, how do i get rid of the greasy look that is killing the look?

Well SAL says only to do 3 coats of whatever combined with ZFX in ONE day....the more you put on supposly the worse it gets....Just ZFX the car every day....our cars are going to be dusty as hell when we get back there tomorrow morning...

if it "supposaly" gets worse after 3, how do you make it better? and it looked bad on the first one <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

Try rewashing it and see if that doesn't do it for you. If not call Sal and ask him about it. I've applied 3 coats of ZFX as many others have also with no problems.

Well, take it FWIW, I haven't used ZFX yet, but I have been using Zaino products for almost 4 years now. I've never had any problems with the show car shine process that Sal has created, and to tell ya the truth, I'm pretty good at bringing out the best of my cars' finish.

I see you live in Chicago. How's the weather? Keep in mind, when the humidity is high, the polish will take longer to dry. From what I've read, ZFX will accelerate the cure time, but IMO, plenty of time should be allowed when weather conditions dictate. I imagine it's pretty cold there right now, so this may also have an effect. JMO though.

im inside the mccormic place, so its not cold, but its not real warm either. i never had any problem before i started using this ZFX. i cant just wash it either, its in the show till sunday.
