The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
I'm thinking about moving the computer to under the dash, any issues with that? I also pulled the power steering parts, the accessory bracket, and relocated the alternator down to where the a/c compresssor used to be. Seems to rev up alot faster now that it just has the alternator and crank pulley.

Next, I want to do the LS1 lid conversion, which all i need to get is the ls1 lid base (if anyone has a spare), a oval to circle coupler for the throttle body, and I will give it some room with a cowl induction hood. Hope to sell the moroso CIA to fund the ls1 lid swap. Also trying to work out a deal right now trading a built up 4l60 for some weld prostars (15x3.5s and 15x10s) So hopefully that goes through.
Took a couple pictures, I know everything is dirty, its the middle of winter so everything will have to wait until spring to get cleaned up. I took one of both my 4th gens together, one of the grant steering wheel installed, and another of the relocated alternator. Also drove the Z/28 around the block to get a feel of how it drives without the front sway bar and no power steering. Its not as bad as i thought. I backed into my parking spot no problem with the factory 16s on the front!

EDIT: I have an extra stock LS1 lid holder downer / top radiator cover thing. I'd have to check to see if it still has the latches on it though. I'm not sure. I'd sell it to you really cheap as it is just taking up space in my garage.
I got my 93 for $900. I have probably $130 in materials I've bought so far. I've sold the engine and some of the related components for around $550. I have $1000 in my LS1 engine harness, PCM, 408 K1 / Wiseco rotating assembly, and 6.0 iron block. If I wanted to sacrifice a lot of the stuff I would like to have in the car to make it more user friendly I could have it run mid / high 9s for around $6-7k on the bottle. The current estimate is $15k and the goal is 8.20s at 170 with AC, PS, all the interior panels, two stock seats, and a stock interior minus the cage and gauges. It can be done on a budget, but you have to shop around.
I mounted the switch today since i didnt have to pull it from the car. Just need to pull the wiring from the GTO and order a box for the battery.
