Default What do you guys use to keep your front license plate cover on?

I took mine off recently, to put my plate on, to dismiss a no license plate ticket. And that thing is such a MF pain to get back on with out touching the paint etc. Do any of you use any kind of double sided tape etc to keep it on? I really dont want to try to screw it in.

I slid mine right over the plate and clear cover, was careful and used the factory screws with an appropriately sized tool.

Did they give you a fix-it ticket i take it? Thats what they would do around here, but Kansas doesnt require a front plate. I got one for having to dark tint on my old siverado. Luckily the chief of police is my neighbor and old swim coach, and i look out for his 2 boys. He just got me off instead of fixing it

Ya it was a fix it ticket. Cost me $10, but it looks MF gay with the plate on. I've tried putting it back on with the screws. But I cannot for the life of me, line up the screw/hole etc, theres barely any room and I dont want it touch my paint

I have a screw driver with a magnet end, so I put the screw on the end magnet and carefully "steer" the screwdriver in until the screw is in. I know, it looks stupid with the front cover off. mine is always on, but the plate is underneath. not that it matters

the factory screws that are on mine are torx head so they kinda sit on the end of the torx driver on their own. it definitely takes some creative guiding though. also be sure to not tighten them too much, the plastic strips pretty easily.
