Shouldn't take long for the euro's to show up. I still need to adjust my headlights, they are aimed a lil to high hehe. And my drivers one aims up and left, so I get flashed at every once in awhile.

The $88 kit from Eurolamps says it provides "Xenon-Charged Blue/White" bulbs with it, I was under the impression Xenon was only used in HID bulbs, not conventional halogen bulbs?

Sorry, I just want some clarification before I buy. Thanks in advance!

Hey dude! The bulbs they offer with the housings are crap. If you can, ask if you can order the housing by itself, no bulbs. Those bulbs are just cheap "whitisih-kinda blue" headlights.

I bought the housings by themselves for $68. Just contact the guy.

On the other hand, i just got finished installing my HID's. Looks friggin awesome; i cant wait to do the fog lights and get my tints done. Im probably gunna delete my drl's too; they take away the look from the HIDs

Glad you like 'em Matt. The fogs will take you a whole 10 minutes. You could convert your DRL's to white LED's if you wanted.

the thought has crossed my mind, but i really dont like having 6 lights on during night time driving; plus, my p/s DRL fails to stay lit when the headlights are popped (acts fine otherwise). i already replaced sockets and bulbs in both drls earlier in the year and i really dont want to deal with that crap again.

if i could disable the drl's only when the head lights are popped, that i would do in a heartbeat

Is it a part of the foglight that's getting warped or the part of the bumper around the fog?

It's the plasticy-type lens inside the foglight housing. The area around the foglight bulb itself.

If you look into your fog housing (from the front) you will see a small skinny piece of plastic that extends out above the bulb, it acts like a reflector to direct the light. This is typically what melts or deforms because of the higher heat generated.

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

No damage would be done to your bumper. It's hit or miss with whether or not the housings melt. Even if they do, it's just the housing, your bumper should be fine.

Same thing. Get a Eurolights conversion housing, from what I know, they all use H7 bulbs. Once you have a conversion housing made for your LT1, just get the appropriate HID kit, which would be an H7 kit. If you use an H7, you won't have high beams anymore. I'm not familiar with other bulb types but I know there are some bulbs that are high and low in one bulb. I suppose you could buy one of those bulbs in an HID kit and see if it fits in the eurolights housing.

Look for a "Super Slim" HID kit. Then when you checkout, just leave them a note, like.. "H7 HID Kit, 6000K" or whatever temperature you want. You will need a separate kit for the fogs. Just buy another super slim kit, leaving a note.. "880 HID kit.. 6000K" etc. I'm not sure about your last statement.

Aren't the drl's the turn signals as well? I want to run led's in there too but I thought they would make my flashers flash too fast? I already have ones in my marker lenses front and back with clear conversions. The previous owner blacked out everything (except for the headlights) to the point you couldn't even tell the car was driving down the street.

I ordered everything to do the HID conversion as well. Will try to post a pic when it's all done. 6000k for both.
Thanks for the write up.

Oh and I have 10000k HID's on my 1990 Third gen Firebird fog lights and I flashed them with the remote for 5 years and counting with no issues. So I wouldn't worry about it too much.
