Hey 98WS6-

What did you do to disable your fog lights from flashing when you lock/unlock the car?

Nothin', lol. Sometimes I forget and leave the fog switch turned "on" so then they DO flash when I lock/unlock the car. If you don't want that, every time you get out just flip your fogs switch to off, and they won't flash when you hit the keypad.

I guess I need to figure something out.. I've got my fogs wired so that they stay on with the brights, my fog light on/off switch doesn't do anything..

I think there is supposed to be a way to make the lights/etc not flash when the car is locked/unlocked..

Are you pleased with the light dispersal pattern of the euro's? I mean, I guess you are.. Have you tried to drive past your own car at night to see whether you are blinding others? Any issues with the po-po, the fuzz, the five-oh? LOL..

To be honest, I myself even know that it's not good to flash HIDs, yet 90% of the time my fogs are on and they do flash when I hit the keypad, and they still work (knock on wood). I like my HIDs a LOT.

I've only had one person flash at me. They really do have a decent amount of glare, your going to be lighting up road signs 5 blocks down from you, lighting up cars next to you (yes NEXT to you) etc. etc. However it's nothing too bad, I've passed so many BMW's and other cars with Factory HIDs that hurt a lot more than mine do. I have some vision trouble so all I worry about is that I can actually see! Oh yeah, and no problem with the cops.

I'm glad I found this thread today! It's great to be a part of a forum that doesn't have people flaming each other, and that genuinely want to HELP.

Glad I could get that out- I'm thinking of doing the eurolights headlight conversion, minus the bulbs, and picking up the lifetime warranty'ed H7 kit from DDM Tuning.

As for the fogs, I'm DEFINATELY on the fence for the time being until I / we figure out a solution to a melting housing.

Anyone do any checking on the LT1 Trans Am's fogs? Are they metal & glass?

I try to help people as much as I can, but I try to have fun too haha. As for LT1 fogs, I'm not sure.. If you have an LT1, this writeup is pretty much the same concept, except you have to email EuroLights and ask them what housing you'll need cause it'll be a little different.

Btw nice avatar, Mick is a beast!

Anyone know which one of these pigtails might work? I'm out of town atm due to work, so can't look at mine. =p

I'm gonna try and check when I get home, and check them out more, might be able to request or they might have, a harness to plug into the factory, and then into the h7 bulb.

I had to type this in a hurry on a quick 15min break from work. Hope it makes sense!

I really don't know if any of those work. The stock harness is basically a square, with two holes in it. It doesn't have any prongs. The low beam has 2 prongs that stick into the holes of the harness. so if you're going to use any pigtail, it would have to be one that has 2 round prongs that would go into the harness I assume? I'm not really sure, as I didn't use them.

Was able to get my low beams in today! Hope to get the fogs in this coming weekend. I decided to solder into the factory headlight harness, as I wanted to have the option to switch back to a halogen if a bulb burn't out, and needed a quick fix. Fiance was a little unsure how to get good night shots with the camera I bought her, but hopefully these will do. I went with the 8K for the low beams and Fogs. Will post fogs when I get them in.

I need to aim them down hopefully, the bracket that holds them in was a very snug fit, and probably changed my angle quite a bit. Car is filthy thanks to the neighbors sprinkler system... Swear they turn it on-on purpose!!!

Whatcha think?

I only had time to snap one quick picture during a cloudy day with my HIDs but I will get some more up here tonight when I take a few more.

These are 6000k even though they look a LOT bluer
