I dont see a drop down menu on his ebay page. There are something like 300 different listings. I need the 9006 kit and 880 fogs, but I dont know which one to get? Some say US Seller, Some say Super Slim, some have different temperatures, but everyone has the same description? Which one do I pick lol. And do I need to buy an extra kit just for the fogs? Seems like the fogs would be cheaper. Some direct linkage would be killer.

Here's my 'recipe'
HIDs from VVME

1 x Standard 880/881/893 HID Conversion Kit
Output 35W
Enhanced Accessories: None
Color Temp. 5000K
http://www.vvme.com/search-result?ma...1&option_31=-1
LOWS
1 x Standard 9006(HB4) HID Conversion Kit
Output 35W
Enhanced Accessories: with Relay Harness
Color Temp. 5000K
http://www.vvme.com/search-result?ma...1&option_31=-1
Lenses for low beams
LMC Part # 36-0302
Qty x2
http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cd/full.aspx?Page=63
if the link doesnt work, then in the search bar at the top of the website choose the following:
“Chevrolet” – “Pickup Truck” – “1988 thru 1998” – “36-0302”
That's everything you need to order. Good luck!

Hold that thought lol. These ship from the UK. I dont want to pay that shipping when I can get free shipping on the ebay items. I just dont know which ones to order from the ebay store. The dude has about 300 postings all for what seems to be the same product. I havnt used ebay all that much so maybe I am just reading into this too much.

For reference while shopping, the lows and the fogs came out to $120 after shipping.

Well I ended up buying the kits from www.hidgeeks.com. Got the 35w 6000k lows and fogs. Then ordered the housings from LMC Truck.
Everything shipped came to a total of $154. Not too bad! Cant wait to get them and install. Been riding around with a burnt up headlight and thought I would just do this instead of buying a new headlight.

no drop down menu... and then it says put your bulb size and all that info in a message to the seller to determine color temp etc... well how the hell am i supposed to do that when i get a message saying the seller is unable to accept messages at this time... sounds like he may have been the way to go but now sounds like a scam?

I know many people have already said nice write up, but I'll say it anyway. Thanks for doing this write up. Thanks mostly for giving the headlight housing weblinks. These will make this job so much easier. Goodjob

I just want to make people aware, you can do HIDs with projectors for roughly 75-150$ more depending on what you opt for and what you can do on your own or have to buy.
Just want to make people aware that the "right way" isn't much more expensive... And no harder to instal.

I can't post links... There is a forum member/sponsor that encourages DIY but gets his panties in a wad when you try to show people how to do it with links or where to buy parts to piece it together for a complete kit.
For anyone interested... There are plenty of DIY projector threads.. From full blown retro fits to just putting a hella projector in the stock head light location, only a little cutting needed and screwing it in... And everything in between.
You need-
Adapter plates... These would have to be made on your own. You could draw them up and have them machined or you could make your own by hand. I bought mine from a forum member that had a bunch made from a machine.
Projectors... Many different options here. Some are true HID projectors and very expensive (OEM is usually the best), and then there are cheaper (but still 1000000Xs better than what this thread is about) options such as a 90 or 60mm HELLA halogen projector.
HID kit... Obviously. I shouldn't have to explain this.
You can at this point go a step further by making your own lexan cover for the projector or leaving it exposed. My car sees minimum driving time so I am leaving mine exposed, many people take this route. Although the lexan shield is not hard to create and is cheap in comparison to the rest of the project.

Check out the Lighting FAQ for more info on Projector Retrofits.

As for where to buy projectors, you can get some decent HID projectors at The Retrofit Source. You can get the Hella Halogen 60mm projectors from Rally Lights.
