Default Porter Cable or something else?

What do u guys use? I need to get the swirls out of my car! NXT doesn't work it hides them well but not good enough. Anybody use anything else besides a porter cable? I really don't want to spend 100 bucks for something unless its the only way to go.

Thanks

I think for the price, it's the best out there... There's a new Flex, but it's 299+... I've got a new porter cable, but have to wait til the 8th to use it damnit....

Another good option is the Ridgid 2611 from Home Depot for $129. It's smoother than a PC and has a higher OPM.

I love my porter cable, it took me a few try's to get swirls out effectively but it works great and I got a combo kit that was a decent price.

The PC is a nice, reliable machine. If I were starting over though, I would pay some serious consideration to the Flex. I couldn't live now without my rotary either, but you really have to know how to use one.

We have sold thousands of PC kits over the years and it will continue to be standard for safe, user friendly machine buffing/polishing for the beginner or novice.

The FLEX does offer the next level of surface correction. Its performance is very close to that of a high speed rotary polisher.

We have them priced at $269.99. It may seem pricey for those who are considering for use on their own individual car. But for enthusiast or season detailer, this is a serious option to consider as mentioned by others here.

the flex is the way to go for a dual action polisher. if you want to step it up just go to a rotary but its not as user friendly as the flex or portor cable. unexperianced people can easily just burn the clear or burn the edges. it takes lots of practice to use the rotary and it takes some experiance to know which compounds suck and which ones will give you the best look.

Skip the PC and go right for the Flex. I'm upgrading now. May still use the PC for applying wax tho.
