Default What did you do to fit ASF 17x11s

What did you guys do to fit the AFS 17x11s out back. Im probably going to be buying them before spring, but want to know what exactly I have to do to make them fit. My car has SLP Eibach springs, which didnt lower it more than a half inch. Thanks for the help. Also, black or silver on a black TA??

You dont have to do anything, just make sure you get the 50mm offset.

go buy a 4lb hammer, you'll need it, but it is the only way to go!

The only reason you would need a hammer is if you bought the wrong offset. I've had two sets of AFS wheels (17x11) Chrome on my 95 TA and now Black on my 99 SS and it was a simple exchange, never ever even one rubbing problem on either car.

Just get the 50mm offset.

Depending on the tires you are going to get, you will get rubbing on the inner wheel well at the front lower lip. Also recomended is an adjustable pan-hard rod(to center the axle). The 50mm backspace is what I have, its also called the Grand Sport offset. If you get Nitto DRs, they are actually narower than most 315's. I had Yokohama A032Rs they rubbed, I also have Perelli P7000s they would have rubbed, but the had fixed the innner wells. the only time I had rubbing was hard cornering, but hey thats what Camaros are for.

I have to agree. If you call AFS.. They will send you the exact setup for your car. Don't try to "out smart them" they know what you need for your car.

I have had ZERO fitment issues. Everyone (ls1.com) told me these rims wouldn't work on my car.. They were wrong.

Trust AFS.. they won't do you wrong!

No mods needed on my ride with AFS 17 x 11s <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0"> The only time you may have a fitment problem is if your SS, TA or FireHawk has been lowered or has the Bilstien suspension.

Mine are the Grand Sport offset. That is what you need. Just a little tapping on the wheel well is needed if you run 315's. Just a few minutes worth of work.
