i bet i've had over a hundred PM's from people wanting brackets like these, as well as my old style. i just can't justify the sponsorship fees to make one product like that to sell on one forum. Plus, i've got a lot of time in each set. i'd have to make some sort of jig to really produce them, otherwise i've got some serious hours in cutting/bending/fitting/adjusting/welding/etc....i'd honestly have to charge in the $50-$75 range for one pair of unpainted/coated brackets. The thing is, you also have to buy a $110 set of plugs wires to make them work. Some people don't mind, others don't want $200 in a coil relocation setup....however badass it may look

thats still cheaper than most of the setups that look as good as yours, IMO (mast comes to mind)

i didnt bother posting or pming about it cause i probably wont do it (id have to go buck wild and really do the engine bay) but if you made them in your free time and had an already sponsor sell them, thatd be cool. does Nate sell a reloc kit already?

anyway, thats always an undertaking but it looks real nice. mmhmm.

yeah Nate sells a kit that works just fine, but like all the others its just aluminum angle with some all-thread rod. i'm not knocking his brackets, that's about the only way you can do it and it's also how i made my first set, but i don't like the way it looks when you CAN see them.

Other relocation kits are made of billet and only move the coils up from their stock location to accomodate fabricated valve covers (in most cases). These are usually more costly and don't really create the effect most people like, BUT they also allow you to use stock length wires.

My brackets required some fitting and welding that the others do not, that's why nobody really has a set like these. they would simply be too costly for a "real" shop with other things to do to make and sell. a sponsor did offer to sell them for me, but they have since been banned and i didn't jump on the ball anyway. i honestly don't have that much time to devote to making coil brakcets. i'd be lucky to get a pair made every two or three days. would i like to? of course i would. i just can't justify the means or expenses right now to do it...doesn't mean i won't some day though.

Got my exhuast pipe ordered from Jegs today. Nobody in town or surrounding areas has the capability to bend 3.5" pipe, so i've got some U-bends and straight pipe in the mail and will weld it up myself this weekend. Of course it will all be smoothed down and ceramic coated to match the headers and pics will be posted hopefully this also solves my rich condition and idle issues. IF that's the case, all i'll lack is painting the hood and getting some decent tires
Looking good, looking good!

Too bad you didn't live in Jersey during the build; there's a bunch of great LSx shops and Mufflex would bend you up a 3.5/4" exhaust no problem.

yeah it sucks, there's really nothing here as far as performance shops go. nobody specializes in high performance stuff. the guys that claim to be just order parts from jegs or the same vendors we do (for the same prices).

As for my car and its current state: i don't have the means to do the exhaust like i wanted to. it also turns out that my flowmaster Y-merge doesn't fit anywhere, at least not in such a manor that clearance and function can both be achieved...this is due to my BMR Xtreme torque arm's location in relation to the tranny crossmember and bottom of the car.

I'm taking the car and my mandrel bends to a guy an hour up the road this weekend if i can find a trailer to have the exhaust done right. i saw a 240sx a local guy has that he did a V8 swap from a Infiniti QX45. it's all stainless, mandrel bent, tig welded true duals and it looks AMAZING. that car was what made me decide to use the guy i'm using. The last local muffler shop that did my old pipes hammered the rear floor pan for clearance, making my rear seats sit up crooked. i had to beat them back down after the old exhaust was sold

I must have missed that post, but what is your new exhaust setup(that your planning on)?

I've been watching your build for a while...VERY sweet ride.

well NOW it's basically going to be just a 3.5" Y-pipe, one that hopefully flows well, with a bullet muffler and turndown mounted somewhere in/near the driveshaft tunnel.

You will be happy with the y and bullet. I love mine. I suggest getting the longest bullet you can get under there.

i'm considering ditching the 4" bullet for a 3.5" Magnaflow muffler now. the bullet is 5" around, while the oval magnaflow is 4"x8"...i could use the extra clearance and i love their sound.

The car is getting loaded up tonight and will be going to get exhaust tomorrow morning

I had a bullet dumped off my ypipe. It sounded incredible but everytime I pulled out of my driveway my neighbor's car alarm went off. So being the good neighbor I am, I put the magnaflow catback back on. Once it becomes a secondary car and I don't drive it as much, the bullet is going back on

exhaust is almost done. i ended up not being able to use the flowmaster Y-merge, so we just made a Y-pipe setup...there will most likely be a X-pipe true dual system made after the car is finished but before it gets dyno-tuned

I need to make a couple cuts and splice in some V-band clamps. i went with 3.5" all the way, instead of expanding to 4" since the flowmaster merge won't fit, so now my 4" bullet won't be used. for now it will be without muffler, may get a 3.5" bullet, maybe magnaflow muffler, maybe nothing. i also planned on ceramic coating it, but now i may not since i think there may be some duals in the near future. here's what it looks like right now:
