I like them too. I had some trouble getting the old blackbird stripes off my car. They were on way too long, and all the goo gone, lighter fluid, and adhesive remover in the world wouldn't help me. I grabbed a heat lamp and sat it on the stripes for a good 10-15 minutes and then slowly peeled away and moved the light to the next area. That way the next spot was ready by the time I got to it.

Go slooooow, if you rush it you can leave some crap behind

Mine were on for I'm guessing 1 1/2 - 2 years, and mine came off no problem. The only thing that could be left behind is residue which WILL come off with goo gone/lighter lfuid. As long as you go really slow as you pull them off when their nice and warm you shouldn't have a problem.

I have removed vinyl many times and used a blow dryer and goo gone. Works everytime. I also recommend you use some rubbing compund after you remove all of the adhesive residue and then wax the area to get the paint to look good. Let me know if you need help.

Flat black side flags would look pretty sweet.

There could be, depending on how much the area was exposed to direct sunlight.

There could be, when I took my blackbird stripes off (since it's the hood) the paint was different, but I was putting new stripes on anyway. The lower part of his door should be fine though.

ya that's what im thinking. if it was a decal on the top of the hood or something i could see a color difference but on the lower sides i think it will be fine as well.
