I sprayed em with Dupli Color Metal Cast Anodized Red. What do you guys think?
I could of sanded the intake manifold down but I did this as a quick side project while assembling my engine. The throttle body came out pretty cool too. Not bad for a days work. The pictures don't do this color justice, it shines like a mother and changes up when viewed from different angles.
The manifold, fuel rails, and valvecovers all got the Metal Cast silver base coat because of their surface color. The TB I had polished so all I had to do was to hit it with anodized red to get the effect.

That came out of a can, HOLY CRAP that looks sweet. I know what my TB is going to have done to it soon.
Does it look good up close though? Where can you get this paint?

Very cool. I had mine painted the same color as my car (electron blue) but its not as shiney as yours. I still need to wetsand it with a high grit and polish it up (but who has time right) I had my valve covers polished and my throttle body polished too, trying to go with the polished/chromed/blue paint look. But yours is very nice, kick azz results.

Wow, I definitely was not expecting it to have turned out so great dude!! Very nice man.. You don't even need fuel rail covers. Just relocate the coils so you can really show that chit off!

Man I am blown away with all the great responses, you guys are awesome
As for the colors of the paint, I have seen it come in red, blue and green. I love the blue but my car is red.
You can get if from Checkers and their affliliates. I haven't seen it other places but I am sure it is stocked elsewhere.
As for it being able to stand up to heat, I got this off the can. MetalCast Colors are heat resistant up to 500deg(intermittent). Oil and Gas resistant. Ideal for valve covers, air cleaners, water pumps, calipers(?) and oil pans. Formulated to provide a high gloss anodized look.
It does look awesome up close, it is real smooth and the shine can't be beat.
Here are some pics Nine Ball style
I have the Thunder Racing/Jay fisher coil relocation kit(you should see the wires on this kit, they look like cables), but now I don't know what to do about the coil mounting bosses on the valvecovers. I guess I can get some polished acorn bolts or something to put in those coil mounts until I can get some more valvecovers.
Thanks all,
Jeremy
