Should I get a new hood?
My Camaro is all set and ready for paint and body work. I am getting the front bumper painted and blended to the hood and fenders, rear bumper repainted and quarter panel fixed and painted for $1200. It is not much as I expected it to cost so I was thinking to myself damn now would be a really good time to get a new hood for it. I have the Z/28 hood and I always thought about an SS hood or a stinger style. If I can find a cheap hood I will do it but I want to try and keep the total cost for all body work under $2000. Any suggestions what I should do just keep the Z/28 hood and have it painted or do it now? I think the Z/28 hood looks good just the other ones look much better. Where can I fing a cheap SS style hood? That would be the best looking one to me and my second favorite is the stinger style. Maybe I should just leave the hood alone and spend the $500 or so it would cost on headers.

if you are gonna get the hood later on for sure, i would just spend the money now (if you have it) get the hood and get everything painted at once so everything can look perfect and everything is the same color, if you aren't too crazy about the ss hood just get the headers

I can't find an SS hood for less than like $580 they are expensive. Maybe I should hold off do you think that one day when I do get a hood I can just paint the hood and put it on or is it going to have to be blended? The fact that I might have to blend the hood into the bumper and fenders is what is making me what to get one now, otherwise I would wait. But the car is going in on March 2nd so I don't have much time lol.
