Dynamat & Luxury Liner Installation Pics
I had all my interior ripped out for a 10pt cage install. I decided to put new carpet in, rip out all the old sound matting and clean up any rust spots, holes from pounding etc...
Here is my dynamat and luxury liner install pics, i hope this kills the noise.

Looks good..I wanna do the same thing to my car. How much should it cost for everything. I wanna do the whole car also. Did you do this install by yourself? I know for a fact I would have to get mine installed at a shop.

Thanks. If I remember correctly (on ebay) dynamat extreme for 9 sheets (bulk pak) was usually about 135-150 bucks. I used about 21 sheets. So approximately 325 dollars for the dynamat, then I bought a few rollers from menards. Then i bought the luxury liner pro, 36sq/ft. which actually covered all the areas that i needed perfectly (everywhere pretty much except under seats. that was 188. So about $550 for everything.
It was very time consuming.
I did the car by myself with a hand to start off. Once i got going it got easier but still took a long time. Id say 15+ hrs on dynamat, and probably 10 hrs on luxury liner.

Luxury Liner Pro is what I installed. It consists of a heavy vinly barrier, bonded to a closed cell acoustic foam. weighs 1.2lbs per sq/ft, similar to dynapad. I added probably 40-43 lbs from luxury liner pro and it is 3/8" thick. I think all the dynamat (21 sheets) weighed about 30-35 lbs. I just got new carpet installed, the carpet itself wasnt the best and didnt fit too hot in certain areas. With a better quality carpet i think itd be alright. As far as panels go, i didnt put luxury liner in areas where panels meet the floor.
Luxury liner will cut noise big time, or thats why i put it in anyway.

Ill let ya know, couple weeks car should be put together to drive.
Yea a shop wouldnt take that long. Im sure a shop wont charge less than 50 per hr.
Id highly recommend getting a friend and doing it yourself, all it is is patience and rolling. If you have a shop do it would they take out carpet, old sound matting, then put dynamat in?
Id say $600.
Find a cheap labor guy maybe 400.
Just a guess.
Taking out seats, carpet etc.. would take a couple hours, take out old sound matting another couple hours then 5+ hrs for dynamat then a few to put back together.
