Whoa, that's really dangerous, didn't you read in instructions? Oh, wait, dumb question, we don't read instructions! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> hehe, Actually you do need a seperate oven for baking powder coated items, the fumes that powder coating gives off are toxic and that oven shouldn't be used for cooking anything edible again. (By the way, it is actually in one of the warnings in the instructions) I have my gun, but since I don't have anywhere to plug in my compressor, yet, I can't coat, and I do have an extra oven <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Hey guys, here is a thought for getting yourself a cheap oven. I work at an aplliance store, and can get brand new maytag electric ovens for like $229, but here is what i would do. Check some used appliance stores around your arear, we get used ovens all the time, and sell them for like $75. Just put it in the garage for all "your baking" Just a thought....

Anyone do there own powder coating?

I am thinking of buying a "hot coat" gun to do some stuff on my car and was wondering if anyone has experience with it.

Also I am thining about bakeing the parts in a big *** ceramics kiln, would that be ok? I know it gets way over 400*. How big of a compressor do I need? and would it be ok if I shot it at one place and drove around the corner to bake it??

I can give you only one word of advice...dont use your wifes oven to bake any powdercoats on to parts.
