Default FAST 92 Painted

Well I finally got around to painting this sucker.

Used Adhesive Promoter, Primer, Paint, and Clear.

Finished off by doing the FAST, box and lettering in white. I've seen this paint combo quite a bit on here so I know it's nothing ground breaking, just felt like sharing.

It's NOT sanded by the way, I like the textured look, so I just did some gentle wet sanding w/ 1500 to get the Adhesive Promoter and Primer to properly spray on, then did the paint/clear coats.

After base coats

Cleared

Accented and cleared again

looks pretty good, I did mine in semi gloss black

I just cleaned it with Dawn and sprayed it with Krylon Fusion though...worked great. I want to go back and do the logo in silver since everything under my hood is black or silver

Does it make it any quieter? I am so sick of the air "noise", I'm thinking of spraying mine with udercoating to hush it a bit. Did you have it installed already to compare it?

Looks nice though

No I haven't installed it yet. I'm buying a burst panel kit before I swap, since I just bought a 90mm Nitrous Plate kit, so I'd kind of like to protect my $1300 investment lol.

From what I've read though, the FAST isn't a solution to quieting down any noises, and mine already sounds like a shop full of sewing machines, so we'll see. I did get new springs and Yella Terra's as well so maybe things will hush a bit. I have heard quite a bit of this "whooshing" noise ordeal on the newer 92mm's, so we'll see if I fall victim as well.

Thanks for the nice comments BTW

ThunderStruck - If you do ever get around to doing the lettering in silver, post up or pm me the pics. I was torn on white or silver, but decided on white due to the availability of it. I would like to see some silver though.

I think your white lettering will look better but I don't have any white so I was thinking the silver would match better. I might do a shade of blue to match my car, I haven't decided yet.

And my intake made the car noises sound a ton louder. I actually thought something was wrong with my car after the install. The diesel like sounds are louder and I can hear a gargling like sound from the valves closing in the heads.
