Default Trans Am Seats in a Camaro

Just bought a pair of Trans am seat with lumbar but no directional power. How can I get lumbar functionality?

u need the harness from the trans am that runs from the driver seat to the passenger seat. it plugs into the power adapter under ur seat and then it plugs into the air pump under both the driver and passenger seats. its a long bulk of wires, so its not hard to miss. it runs under the carpet and the center console, so u might have to take off the center console to get to it.

like he said ^ you need the entire harness that runs to both seats over the center. you need to pull up the carpet to remove/install. just out of curiosity which power track did you use for the driver seat?

you will need to use the camaro power track for the driver seat because the plugs are different. so unless you want to rewire your floor, you are going to be stuck without the lumbar and bolster adjustability.

Thanks for the information everyone. You guys have been very helpful. As far as the track I'm just going to stick with the lumbar support/manual track. Really don't feel like trying to rewire the seats.

You can still buy that harness new from the dealer if you need to.

actually u can still use the ta power track. thats what i did. as long as u get the harness, cuz the ta harness uses the same plug as the camaro plug. if u dont have the harness, then the power seats will not work in the camaro.

Anyone know where I can get this^^^^^^^^ wiring harness. Just added TA seats in my camaro. My seats have the black air tubes, dont know if all TA seats come with them.

Anybody have a part number for the wiring harness between the seats and the hoses etc to make them work? Or a wiring diagram? If I understand this right (and I probably don't) There is just power and ground to the drivers seat, then a 6 wire harness that hooks up between the 2 seats?
I have no seats here to check, just found some power ones on craigslist off an 00 TA, and I currently have a non-power cloth 95 Z.

The wiring harness / vac. harness connects the air pump underneath the pass. seat to the drivers seat. You need to remove the entire center console and e-brake to remove the harness. Without the harness you will still have access to power seats but the lumbar will not function.

Any dealership should be able to get you the part number. Although I would check if the guy selling the seats still has it installed in his car. Otherwise check e-gay or the parts classifieds.

I installed the TA seats in my car about 6 months ago. Looks awesome!

Yeah, the guy who's got them for sale doesn't have the harness. Maybe I'll post in the wanted section and somebody parting a car has one. I don't need them in my car right away, the seats are mint and I'm thinking I can get them for 200-250.

I can get you the harness.
I had to pick one up when I installed the lumbar/bolster supported seats into my bird.
I think it'll probably run ~$30 shipped.
If interested, PM me.
