I had 4" tips and just like you, they ended up rusting out. This time around, I found some 5" exhaust tips at a diesel place and I took them to Performace Coating Specialties in Arlington, Texas.. They ceramic coated them just like my headers. They will withstand up to 2000 degrees F. They should hold up much better than the standard chrome coatings. Here is a pic of the exhaust tip (its almost chrome like in appearance) sitting next to my SLP loudmouth 1 "muffler".. LOL.

I would recommend the Pypes Ovals. Their just like the Mecham's I believe, Only like $70 for a pair.
here they are on my car (only my pipes run a little lower than they should be)

Just google Pypes, that's how I found them. I personally think its either these or some bigass corsa clones.

No up close pics of the flowmaster duals yet? I am wondering about them because I am looking to upgrade my cat back also. I would just go Corsa but the price of that cat back has gone up by a decent amount. I am kicking around the idea of GMMG with corsa clones. I just dont know if the clone inlet will work with the GMMG exhaust diameter or not.
