Bought a aftermarket ram air hood. where can I get the grille inserts? dealership said they can only get the hood.

no problem. i've posted the link to hawks quite a bit for the LT1 guys. i don't know how much the dealership wants for the LS1 grills but the LT1 grills are $95 EACH from GM. $50 for the pair is a much better deal, lol.

hmm, thats odd. i know with the LT1's i found the part no's online somewhere and checked gmpartsdirect.com and the MSRP was $95 and they had them for $75 but the s&h per side was ~ $20 which was ridiculous since i think the package i got from hawks was small enough that it could have been mailed. I think the grills themselves are aftermarket but i didn't mind not going OEM for those. my hood and box are oem but i got a steal on those ($307.51 for the hood off ebay, test hood that was never painted and $115 for the airbox). i know on the LT1's you can't tell the difference from the stock ones.

FWIW i just found the part numbers for the LS1 screens. they are quite a bit cheaper than the LT1 screens from gm
