I think I may have you confused. I used the term transformer, but that may not be the right term. Basically, there is a little small box that has a 12V input and then outputs that go to the cathode tubes. The 12V is hooked to my cig lighter via a switch and then the cathode tubes are plugged into the little box.

Hope that clears it up a bit.

lol yea i understand it now.. i had the box n i thought u got rid of the box (inverter) for the transformer
