Cleaning Stock WS6 wheels

Cleaning Stock WS6 wheels I have been trying to polish up the stock ws6 wheels and have found nothing to shine them up. They are pretty dull. I shined up my AC can with mothers and that went really well, but it didn't have any effect on the wheels.

Re: Cleaning Stock WS6 wheels There is product called WENOL. USE IT! You can find it at almost any home improvement store. I won't use anything else anymore.

Re: Cleaning Stock WS6 wheels no man just take the coating off.. im thinkin about doin this on my 01 WS6 rims.. the dull magnesuim rims.. either use paint remover or sand paper till its down to the metal then polish away <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Cleaning Stock WS6 wheels travws6 - how do you have dull mag rims on your ws6, you should have paid for high polished aluminum with the ws6 package. unless you downgraded somewhere in the process.
try a clear coat cleaner first...i polished my 2002 stock ws6 wheels to hell using zaino z6, black magic wheel and tire liquid spray and brasso and they...well for lack of a better phrase... twankle and glisten'

Well i baught the car used with 7000k's on it and the guy said those are the stock WS6 rims and there they newer stlye made of magnesuim..

I've also said that the 2002 rims are shinier then the 2001 rims..??

i know they are the same compostion as the older style wheels, however the shape makes the older ones have a chrome appearance. they are more concave as the 02s are convex at the centercap.

Re: Cleaning Stock WS6 wheels o ya for sure.. thats exactly what mine look like.. i personally think its dull.. i polish aluminum all the time and just get jelous when i see ppl with shinier stock wheels on there TA. Sure there a little shiny.. but im a chrome freak.. and polished aluminum.. whatever i can get as shiny as those i'd be happy.. the one thing i wana try is take the clear coat off and polsih them even more.. but im not sure if i can do that safly yet. bin asking around for a while now. And you'd think they would get them as shiny as possible at the factory then clear coat em.. so maybe they don't get n e better then they are? I'll proboly end up buying some vette rims if i can't get theses shiny enough.

Re: Cleaning Stock WS6 wheels guess you really couldnt tell from the picture...but they are like mirrors, and still the fact that they are aluminum works for me as its uncompareably lighter than chrome. lighter = i go faster.
