Looks great! Did the same thing to my Brothers Garage (4 car garage) 2 years ago and my old house also. Prep can be a pain. The more stains/wear and tear on the garage floor the more you will need to scrub and clean. Once you clean it, you should wait 24 hrs to let it dry and begin painting in sections. FYI..Careful when walking on the epoxy when their is water on the floor. It can be slippery.

Prep was a pain in the ***. My garage floor is about 8 years old and had a ton of tar and oil stains from the previous owner and some oil spots from myself so I used purple power and a pressure washer then the concrete etch that came with the kits and a scrub brush then patched the cracks and waited about 2 days for it to dry the actual painting was easy and was done in about an hour. Just make sure you put the epoxy on pretty thick so it has an even shine thats the one mistake that I had made but I am happy with it. Its still a garage floor so it really doesn't have to be perfect as long as it keeps the stains away.

instructions say it could be slippery when wet and they have an anti slip additive but I didn't use it and haven't even had my cars on it still have to wait another 5 days before it fully cures.

Checkered floors are usually tile ie industrial stuff used in schools and such. At least for the ones I have seen.

Whatever you do don't use POR-15's floor coating. Its called floor armour I think. I researched and found a thread about 30 pages long of guys who have used it, had it fail and got told to suck it by the company. I've heard U Coat it is the most durable.

That's what I was thinking. The checkerboard looking stuff? That's amazing. I'd need a Ferrari to go with it

Home depot sells them. I bought two and I do not know why but it only took one to do my 22X20 two car garage and I put it on pretty thick too.
