I have future plans for a s60 or 9. I am on my second 10 bolt under 8K mi. Luckily they are cheap around here.

Thanks..I think the 5.9L would fit too, do it!. Look up DMC, Diesel Monte Carlo on 'tube.

S60 would make a nice addition to it. I've got one on order myself. The Dana 60 with detroit locker combo would be good if you ever decided to take it rock crawling

Just read through the whole thread, love this build. Glad you kept the LT1 style front end. I'd even say leave the hood black, or paint it flat black. So any info on the winter engine build you talked about? Still staying 6.5L or ?

It's a nice piece, but my whole car was built for under 15k, and 2.5k just for an axle!?!? gotta hold off as long as possible. but I am sure as soon as I get a stick DR tire on it, the 10-bolts wont last.

Thanks. I am glad I kept the lt1. I've grown to like the black hood too. I have considered the hood body color, with the "manta" style mod to it in black. similar to the SS hood if ya think about it. hmm..

Winter engine build is on back burner, but yes I am staying with the 6.5L Diesel. Right now decided to stand the rad up and forward, then convert to a front mount VGT turbocharger, no IC, using WMI. That and a gear change is all that will get done.

I may also install my perf cam (yes they do make them for Diesels) and ARP head studs to run a few more psi. really wanna see how far I can push a stock longblock though. we'll see.

Cody, that is one cool set-up - very impressive. With a few tweaks you should have more than enough HP & torque.

I sent a link to this thread to my son. I'm sure he'll be just as impressed. He drives his modified Dodge Ram Cummins turbo-diesel in truck pulls. His diesel has been dynoed at almost 700HP & over 1000 ftlb of torque.
