i dont think it would work because of that button you have to press down?

I have always had a manual.. so im not 100% sure.

But i think alot of guys bypass the button, and put a hurst shift **** on.

So if thats possible... I think you could shorten it.

^ well i put one of those MBA shift ***** on with an adapter once frome WS6 store and theres a plastic type material that the button pushes down on if i recall correctly?

I was looking for the write up and can't find sh*t....How could I do this? I just don't want to accidently bump the shifter and it go into reverse or something along those lines you know....

There is a thread around here.
Remove ****.
Cut with Dremel tool. (Duplicate old pattern.)
Replace ****.

Ok, so when I remove the **** the is is plastic white piece that sticks up about 1 inch. So when I cut the tubing, do I need to make sure there is still 1 inch still sticking up??? I want to only cut once and not mess up....

i just posted my install of the adapter/****. i haven't tried cutting down the stick though. but the plastic actuator seems like it goes the entire length of the shaft. but the key is to cut the outside first, then cut the plastic. when you're done you're gonna have to cut small little notches so the stock shiftknob and the staple can slide back in, or so the adapter can screw on and stay if you use that. it should still work, but i'm not positive.
