Caliper..polished,paint & decal combo
I decided to try something a little different and didn't want a completely painted caliper so with some elbow grease for the polish job, a little black manifold paint, and 2 decals from Afterthoughts Auto here they are.

That looks really cool! Makes the caliper look like part of the rotor.

I am thinking about having my 99 SS calipers powder coated black and adding some decals from afterthoughts too. How do these decals hold up to the wear and tear of our brake systems along with the heat?

I haven't heard any complaints from anyone for over a year. Mine still look like the day I put them on (4/01).

Re: Caliper..polished,paint & decal combo
Dremel and a small sanding disk to remove the casting marks and any pits. Then 320,600, and finally 800 grit emery cloth with some polishing compound and some elbow grease, about 4-6 hrs to complete all 4.
Also when you are sanding with the dremel you need to be careful not to create any major divets as they will have to be sanded out and you don't want to be taking the calipers down to far.

Just a simple Turtle Wax polishing and scratch remover polish. Nothing special or expensive and it worked fine.
