Show your aftermarket radios with an i pod hooked up.. Also are you able to use your steering control buttons too?
One more thing.. When using your aftermarket radio. Did you also install speakers or keep the stock ones?

I don't have an Ipod hooked up to mine but i do have a 4gb USB thumbdrive hooked up to it. I think they sold one higher than mine that had an ipod hookup on it but i have never had an ipod and the usb fob works perfectly for what i do since i can just add music to it as i please and it never leaves the car unless i'm loading new music to it.
i have up to 4.7gb (currently have around 2.5gb) worth of music without removing a CD. The in dash MP3 player has a 700mb disk full of music on it and the 4gb usb fob has around 2gb of music (over 300 songs on the usb drive alone) so i figure if i had it all filled up i could have approx 10000 songs between the drive and the CD
It's a JVC IIRC. bought it in the summer of 2006 for around $180. i cannot use my radio controls on the steering wheel because i didn't buy the $75? wiring adaptor to do so. i put an aftermarket mp3 player and 6 disk changer in my car the day i bought it (from my old car) so i never even got used to using the buttons and don't miss them.
i have an aftermarket set of front speakers but only because one of them was crackling when i got the car.

alpine all the way, I don't have any pictures, but they are high quality units and have great great sound.
I am pretty happy with the stock monsoon speakers, if it were the regular ones I would probably switch them out. I have a set of JL Audio 12s the compliments them well though.
Get the alpine cda-9886, usually free ipod interface if you buy it from crutchfield.
that black piece will come with it to if you order online in the installation kit.
or you can get a nicer one like above, but I don't think that metal flows with the rest of the interior.

Alpine CDA9884, talk about badass.
Illuminates red, easy as pie ipod interface, plays cds, no USB dont need it with the ipod.
I also have Cadence Components in doors, 10" Infinity Kappa Sub, and 1500W SSL Amp, I will probably be upgrading the midbass drivers, and rear speakers (Because I like the rear sound, and with the hatch open those things rock)
I would lovee to get a HUMount, BUT that 100$ is not justifiable. 100 for just the bracket, while HU was only 140, no thx.

the replacement for the cda-9884 is the cda-105. it looks pretty much the same except that alpine added the usb to the back in addition to the ipod cable. I would suggest checking into that. and yes it does still have the selectable illumination from blue to red!

I'm all for keeping the stock head unit. Aftermarket ones make your car a target for getting jacked.
Just my opinion though. Its happened a few times to people I know in Houston.
