Default mcguire headlight cleaning

Not sure where to put this or if someone has done this before but thought I would share my results.
Picked up the Mcguire headlight cleaning kit for 20 bucks.
Removed the headlights off my wife's 2000 honda civic.
Wiped the headlights down with a paper towel and then just followed the directions on the box.
I used a skill 1/2 cored drill.
Overall I am pleased with the results.

ya I have seen really good results with this stuff. I usually use a 1000 grit sand paper and work my way up to 2000 using soap and water, then use a plastic polish and it is a lot cheaper but doesn't look as good, but not too bad either.

Yeah I did the same thing to my headlights. Mine were even worse than those, you could actually see the 'scaling' of the plastic from the corrosion. I used the headlight cleaning kit and it worked incredibly well. But there was still a haze over them. So I grabbed a bottle of Meguiers Plastix and it took that haze right out!

No, the kit I got wasn't from meguiers. It was a 3M kit that just came w/ some rubbing compound. It worked really well, but Plastix made them perfect.
