I recently replaced the Tail Light Filler decal set on my 2002 Trans Am WS6. I followed the instructions and I measured and re-measured about 20 times and held a level up to it to make sure the "Trans Am" decal was level. I did have some difficulty with this since my tape measure kept bending along the curved tail light filler. However, after I applied it, the decal slopes down 1/16 of an inch from left to right. No one can tell that it is not level. But, it will probably drive me nuts knowing that it is not perfect and I will probably order a new decal and try it again.
Are there any tips out there to ensure that the decal can be applied perfectly level?

You can mist a little soap and water on the surface before applying the decal. That allows you a little time to "adjust" it. Once you have it where you want it, just squeegee the water out and let it dry. For something smaller like the "Trans Am" decal you can "pat" it dry with a clean towel.

Will that method work since the decal is broken up into six pieces and being applied to hard plastic?
I attached a picture. Does it look OK or should I not even bother messing with it?

Doesn't look bad at all, ...
I imagine you have to get pretty close to see if it's even off-set, don't ya?!?
Leave it, ..., if it bothers you, then just do it over.
I use little piece of tape along the edges of the decal for placement to help with the alignment. PM an email address I'll send you a sample photo later tonight to show ya.

I'd replace it. I honestly think it looks fine and I personally wouldn’t notice it, but I did the exact same thing on my car. I figured it was close enough and looked fine. EVERY time I walk by the rear of my car I notice it and it drives me crazy. I'm probably gonna break down and replace it soon.

I decided that I'm going to keep it until it fades and needs to be replaced. It passed the ultimate test - my wife did not notice that is was not level!

looks fine to me. one thing you want to check before applying the next one is that it is square in the backing paper. if it is center and level them mark outer edge of backing paper with tape so you know exactly were to put it. if not square then trim the backing paper till it is, and do as previuosly stated. make sure to use a little soapy water so you can move it around to get it where you want it
