Not my style cars, but the most of them looked like they were done well. I've stumbled upon some car shows that I definitely did not fit in either, but a car guy/gal is a car guy/gal.

Agreed, I found myself being the only car without monitors all over the place once. Some of those guys could have put on a clinic about clean wiring.

You guys may not like the direction those guys went with their cars, but you have to appreciate the hard work that goes into them, the same way we put hard work into our cars. Obviously im not one for the huge chrome rims and kandy paint, but most of those cars pulled it off nicely. If it were a bunch of imports with primer body kits and neon everywhere, that would be a different story. Congrats on your awards btw, your car looks great.

Thanks...I didnt think I was being ugly or degrading at all about it either. Some people try to play that game to stir up trouble when theres none there in the first place. In fact most of the replies, while funny, have not been degrading or mean either. I am sure much to his displeasure.

That's awesome that you got two really nice awards too. Looked like there was some serious competition for both.

LOL...yeah, she is something!!! I was honestly amazed to have gotten the awards too because my car was not the type of car this show was about even though it was obviously the highest quality "show car" there...IMO that shows allot of charecter from the judges. Had a "donk" came to most of the shows I go to they wouldnt have had a chance no matter how nice it was, infact I am sure they wouldnt have been treated nearly as nice as we were. So that says allot IMO.

Well the biggest rims there were 26s....I assume your talking about the orange ones...those were 26s. But at any rate, they don't build the cars for performance...so I am sure dropping several thousand into upgrading a 15 yo Silverado to rear disc brakes wasnt a priority for him.

Although these type of cars are not my 'cup o' tea', I do have some respect in what they are trying to accomplish with their rides. Ive seen helluva lot worse round here in Augusta..

In the end its all about respect. You respect man for his car, you get respect for yours, and visa versa.

Much respect for staying through it in a different type of show. Top of the line cars will gain respect for their hard work & craftsmanship, not because it's not someone's style!...BTW, looks like the G/F wants a Donk!!

Damn nice color!!
