Default Polished calipers and white brackets (pics)

I was a little skeptical about using white paint on my brakes, but I think it turned out pretty well. I haven't ever seen another f-body with this scheme, so that's why I really wanted to try it out. Calipers were shined up by hand, 220-1000 grit and finished with some mothers polish. I need to hit them with some real compound and my dremel, but I killed it polishing stuff under my hood and haven't replaced it yet. The caliper brackets are painted with G-2 caliper paint, it's impressive stuff but kinda pricey. Then I painted the rotors with some aluminum VHT brake paint. The rotors were my main motivation to get my brakes cleaned up because they were rusted. I swear SSBC said they were coated, oh well. I also recently threw some old style BMR springs on the car.

so fresh and so clean clean. any brake dust on those will stand out like the calluses you probably have on your fingers.

That looks awesome!! Nice job!! I really need to take my rotors off and paint them because of rust issues... Maybe that can be my winter job..

I painted the rotors silver... The calipers look a little dull in the pictures because, well they are a little dull and I had some low diffused light that bended in with the surrounding area that day. Even my wheels look dull in the pictures because they didn't have any contrasting colors to make them pop. The centers are chrome not polished and they look like the typical oxidized TT2 in most of those pictures.

I remember seeing a write up on how to polish the calipers, I wish I could find it.

The car looks nice.

Haven't seen that before, and I think it looks really good. You will be happy with the durability and gloss of the G2, not sure you'll enjoy the polishing much.

I just did the silver VHT on my Silverado Rotors as well, we'll see how it holds up? I also think doing the caliper hats and the carriages different colors gives more of a custom look which is what I did on the truck as well.
Very Nice!

When I saw the title of this thread I didn't think I'd like it, but it looks really nice, I think you did a good job.

It'll be hard for you to get the calipers to be perfect, they're not the best castings in the world...you'd have to go to some billet or forged calipers (and a LOT of $$$) to really make them perfect...I think with maintenance they will look fine though.
