T-top Shades where to get them
#2
You can get some at classic industries. They aren't the same as the factory ones, but they work just as well and are a heck of a lot cheaper. I've got some and they are pretty solid.
Another option is to put some really dark (something like 5%) tint on the tops.

I asked about this in a tint place, about just tinting the tops but they told me that it is dangerous becasue the glass can brake becasue most of the suns heat is hitting the tops all day. Is this ture or is he just full of it.

From: somewhere that doesn't get snow
i got told the same thing and came here and asked and was told that yes the tops will crack....if they get up to 4000 degrees, yes 4 thousand degrees
i went back to the shop and told them that and they said they would do them but wouldn't warranty them. that was about 3 years ago and they haven't cracked yet.
if my t-tops get to 4000 degrees i'm pretty sure we're all dead
we should write in to Mythbusters and have them test the t-top cracking myth. they might even still have the t-tops from the green LT1 T/A they used in the "can a burnout cause a fire?" myth a few months ago
