Default JB Weld...

Ugh, when I had my car at the hobby shop, I left it overnight locked up in there a few times. Either myself or someother jack *** there got JB Weld on one of the front quarter panels... Any ideas on how to get this off?
I am fearing the answer is going to be "new paint job..."

Try and carefully pick it off with your fingernail, I really dont think it would bond that well with clear coat. Or like mentioned above try wetsanding it off with 2000 grit.

lol, I am not selling the car!
Have any of you actualy dealt with this issue before? I am a little afraid of the razor blade to tell the truth. I was thinking clay bar, but I am a little worried that will just spread it around. Is goo be gone ok to use on the clear coat/paint?

when i was a detailer i used plastic razor blades to get stuff like that off. then use rubbing compound to buff out any minor scratches.

Hold ice against it and squirt wd40 around it. . . . once it chills enough, it should slide right off. . .

excellent. I appriciate it. I am going to start with the least invasive, like the finger nail, then move to the ice, then so forth and so on.

I love your avatar by the way!

WD-40 and even gasoline may work. (Yes it's safe. Will just take the wax off.

Can I smoke while I do this???? kidding.

Seriously though, that doesn't sound safe considering all the extra **** they put in gas these days... is that a old 70's solution? or have you done this pretty recently?

I always use gas for things like that, and also it works good on tree sap. Just put some on a rag, scrub it right off, and then wash it off with soap and water. Your paint will be fine.
