Default clear air lid trans am 01

i am just thinking about getting a clear lid am sure i have read somewere that some of you guys had had problems with them touching the ws6 hood

is this true or did i not read it right i have the slp lid on there at the min but have never seen a clear lid in the uk so want my engine bay to stand out over here

i have just been looking on the fasttoys site and see that they have a 98mm lid for only 20 dollars more then the std one so is worth getting that one if it does not hit anywere. i have a 90mm fast intake and a 90mm umi t/b am taking the air flow sensor out as i dont need it

also is there anywere else that sells them and would need to send to the uk

thanks
all

i have the standard clear lid on mine, with the fast 90/90 on my WS6. it does not appear to be rubbing and i have had it for several months now. However i had a SLP lid before this, that DID rub on the hood. I bought my clear lid from a member on here.... saw some a few weeks back in the classifieds. just keep an eye out.

thats dude i was only looking at the 98mm lid as it was only 20 dollars more and as i am in the uk it is not that much plus if i do any other mods later on it covers that

but will have a look on the sales dont really look on there as some dont like selling out side the u.s

Do a search. There was an 85mm FAST clear lid for sale not too long ago. I wanted it but not lookin to upgrade to a bigger MAF right now. So keep that in mind as well. You,re gonna have to get a larger MAF to fit in the larger air lid. Not much room for an adaptor between the 2. Good luck.
