Question Zoop Seal or other aluminum sealants

who has used it? i need some serious info about this stuff

my smoothie II's are at the end of my patience. i keep them cleaner than anyone..polished and everything then one weekend of rain and crappy weather they are now covered wtih water spots and stains, however they will all come off with tons of effort. i am willing to put in the effort to get them clean again but no way in hell im not putting some kind of sealant on them..

so has anyone used zoop seal or similar prooduct that can shed some light on it for me..

thanks
Jeff W

I have a box here waiting on my new set of wheels. I'm sure I'll post the results when get them ready to run.

Yup!

The wheels (Bogarts) were on the car for most of the last 2 1/2 months, through plenty of rain and racing.

I've been impressed so far. They are holding their shine pretty well. All I've done was wash/dry them off when I wash the car.

IM had it on my BC's for close to a year. All I do is hose em off, dry em, and they look brand new. I will never have anything polished on my car, before I treat it with zoops!

A kit will easily cover 1 set of wheels, it runs about 129.00.

I did 3 sets of wheels and had over half the kit left. You can pick the kit up for $100

I just (as in last Saturday) ZoopSealed my newly purchased Boyd's. The process wasn't all that hard, but it is a process so be prepared to spend a few hours working on your wheels. I don't have any real world experience yet as to how durable it is, but the application isn't too bad. I will say they look absolutely incredible and hope this stuff keeps my wheels looking sharp.

Oh and www.zoopseal.com is their website.

Yeah, I bought his "leftovers" and did my wheels and there is probably enough to still do two more sets! I believe the instructions that came with the kit said it covers 60 square feet.

Do you have to unmount your tires or can you just mask them off before you apply Zoops?

I didn't do anything to the tires. No masking and certainly not removing them from the wheel.
