I have a couple absorbers, but I still like a good chamois (spelling) better. I found that after a few times using the absorbers that it leaves a film on my black Z. I just use them on my white tahoe now where I can't see the film. Just my $.02

I love those things, only I can't store mine in the tube after use like they say, it stinks (makes sence) I have to let it dry and then store it in the tube. I suppose if you left the cap off and kept it on its side it would get some air flow thus allowing it to slowly dry. What do the rest of you Absorber users do when you are complete with it and the thing is wet?

I have several of them. One of them is 7 years old and has never been dried out. They're a bit unusual smelling but still works great and has no mildew on it. Keeping them damp makes them ready to use and probably makes them last longer too.

Well than what the hell am I doing wrong. Because all I get with my absorber is water streaks. I hold it with my left hand and put my right hand on the back of it as I drag it. Doesn't seem to work for ****

Thanks

After I use mine, I squeeze it out good, roll it back up and store it in the container with the cap on. I just keep it on the shelf (on it's side) in the garage. I have another in the car too.

I just wipe over the car with it kind of scrunched and folded to absorb big water in the first pass, working in smaller areas at a time. Wring it out as it fills up and then wipe off any streaks or remaining water in the second pass (rubbing - it won't hurt the car to rub vigorously with the absorber until the water is gone). Any miniscule water residue usually always evaporates without a trace. I'll typically go over the black areas on my car with some final detail spray and towel to get the perfect shine once the car is all dried off. I always start at the top and work my way down and around the car, finishing with the wheels, door jambs, etc. Once you get the hang of The Absorber, you'll fall in love with it and never use anything else.

Going to the quarter car wash worked pretty well last time. Drying consisted of going down the highway at 150. Heh got some water streaks though.

I have been a absorber user for at least five years and have loved them.
