Default Rear valence panel....

...at least I think that's what it's called.

As you can see, mine looks pretty stupid with no exhaust tips, so I wanted to make some modifications to it. I was thinking that I'd cut the little "spikey" looking pieces off and make a contoured edge going from where the exhaust opening used to be over to just below the liscence plate. I was also thinking of painting it red to match my tailight filler panel decals and tailights.

Just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts or other ideas...TIA

Sounds good, only I have no idea what you mean by "spikey looking pieces"!

I say cut that entire section out, and put a rear diffuser in place.

Kinda like this:

LOL @ me On the inboard side of the exhaust opening, the panel makes a dip then comes back up into the part that is below the liscense plate; thus creating a "spikey thing" If you see it in person it doesn't sound quite so crazy.

I looked at that, but I think it will look funny without the matching sideskirts, and I'm running pipes out the sides so I don't think that I can do that

Thought about that, too, but I can't convince myself on the dummy tips. That'd work though

Why not just use a Formula/Firebird rear bumper cover?

I've seen a couple T/As around here with Firebird rear bumper covers and it actually looks really good. That gives you the option of no tips without the empty openings you have now.

Maybe someone has some pics of this? I know at least two 4th gen T/As have it in my area....
