Granatelli 200mph question
My 2000 SS is Canadian and therefore the km/h reading is most prominent (larger typeface on the outside) with mph in smaller typeface on the inside.
2 questions
1. is this gauge suitable for the Granatelli upgrade
2. could this gauge be swapped for a US unit (ie. predominantly mph with km/h on the inside)
The reason for Q2 is that I have a lazy oil pressure gauge that may be a problem with the cluster and I'm also in the UK so don't really want to be unable to use the car for the weeks that it will take to get the mod completed. I'm thinking of buying a 2nd hand US cluster and having that upgraded (speed limits are mph in the UK so that would be better anyway).
Thanks for any advice/comments.

Re: Granatelli 200mph question
I see no reason why you could not use a US gauge cluster in your car. The only difference is the overlay. The Granitelli is setup for MPH on the outside with KPH on the inside. I have not seen them the other way around. So if you get an extra cluster and send it in you should be all set.

Re: Granatelli 200mph question
I want to make the swap to the white faced 200mph gauges someday. Anyone have this done yet? I'm wondering how difficult it is to remove the cluster and if anyone had any problems with the swap?

Re: Granatelli 200mph question
Thanks for the comments - my main concern is whether the mph and km/h will still be correct (as opposed to the km/h reading appearing as mph if u understand what I'm trying to say).
I'd actually prefer them to be round the other way ie. mph on the outer ring as I live in the UK where limits are set in mph.
jason99ws6 - this is a replacement overlay for the speedo that reads up to 200mph
camaro_ls1 - Granatelli do this modification inhouse (you have to send them your speedo) as it needs recalibrating

The speedo will be calibrated correctly to show MPH/KPH so you don't have to worry about that being wrong.
For the others that don't know about this go here:

It's not hard taking the cluster out you just have to take your time and be carefull. Taking your time it's about a 30-45 minute process.

I bought mine back in 2002, its been perfect ever since. I also have my old gauge cluster so if this one ever takes a **** I can just swap the face plate and get it calibrated. I was making a sound video from different spots around the car, you can see it in this video.
