I would suggest looking into vinyl. It'll be cheaper and reversible.

For example:

if you want to go the vinyl route, i'd HIGHLY recommend http://camarographics.com/ aka http://3rdgendecals.com/ -both same site. i've bough 2 sets of stripes from them (side flags for camaro, and ram air stripes for the T/A) and both have looked/fitted great, and you get a bunch of other good decals with each stripe kit.

BUT, i personally would not get ANY vinyl hockey stripes. why, because i have practically NEVER seen any hockey stripes that actually wrap evenly around the fender well for a nice clean look, i feel they should have the EXACT curve as the fender, which i never see, no matter where the person has bought them. the BEST hockey stripes i've seen were painted on, and they fit the lines of the car perfectly. but that will cost you.
-the uneveness of the hockey stripes i've seen is the reason i went with the side flag stripes for my camaro, and i loved the way those looked. i think black would really look good on yours too. but like i said, if you really want the hockey stripes, id recommened camarographics.com

when you buy strips from the site i mentioned they send an email with a full tutorial on how to do the install. it's very easy to follow and takes you through all the steps. when i just did the stripes on my T/A a month ago i didnt need any instructions since i remembered the basics from when i did the camaro like 2 years ago, its pretty straight forward. let me know if you get them, i can send you as detailed instructions i can to help you out.

i bought some gunmetal metallic hockey stripes a couple of weeks ago from fourthcircledesigns.com and they were perfect. im very happy with how they look. as for what crimsonbird is saying, he is kind of right. u can see where the stripes are a bit uneven cuz of the curves. but it is not really noticeable unless u get really nitpicky about it.

We designed a set that is WAYYYY more like the ZL1 cars than any other stripe on the market. Should be available in two weeks...

yes they are. the hockey stripes for the 4th gens do wrap around the fender, where as the stripes on that 1st gen clearly follows a different set of lines that the 4th, so that is not an equal comparison. they are two completely different shaped cars so thier stripes of coarse had to be designed to fit with their respective body styles.

i kind of see what you are saying, but in order for the stripes to fit the curve of a 4th gen they would have to go all the way to the nose which would be impossible.

^thats why instead od following the lines at the font of the car and top near the hood, the hockey stripes for 4th gens follow the curve of the wheel well. I like them and all, I'm just saying many -not all- of the stripes I've seen don't fit the curve well. camaro_Ryder_kvs is an example of some that fit the curve very well to me. But I could easily pull up a lot of examples showing stripes that look pretty bad
