Duplicolor FTW (engine bay)

I believe he told me jewlery cleaner or some **** like that last time when I was talking to him. Alex is the type of guy you would like to drop your car off with him for a month because he has a natural tendancy to modify things to make the smallest differences.

Nice job dude. I did this during the summer as well. It's a great way to bring the life back to the paint. Get matching paint codes, scuff it up, spray some new paint, clear it, and you're good to go.
Duplicolor makes awesome stuff.

Thanks guys.
The fuel rails were easier than I thought they would be. I started by folding up 1000 grit wet paper, wetting it, and running it over the tube from side to side. Turns out, all I had to do was get a piece of cloth with some aluminum polish/jeweler's rouge and use the same method as the paper. I really couldn't believe the outcome myself but it works.

Well I finished the color coats and clear coats today so I decided to wet sand and buff it out. I swear this is Duplicolor out of a spray can and not the factory color. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Enjoy.

Here is a shot of the intake in place as well as the same valve covers painted black. I have new covers coming that have the stock oil splash covers in place so I can take the catch can off. I plan on milling the un-necessary coil bracket bosses off and filling the holes but I don't know about the black yet. What do you guys think?

I didn't do the firewall. For the most part, you don't see that area in the daylight. Honestly, the only time I have noticed it is in the pics with the flash on.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to take the engine out one day and go to town in there but for now, this will have to do.
