Sorry...I did remove the brake reservoir but that's it. I had to tape off the passenger side ALOT to be able to get to stuff though.

I got the new valve covers in yesterday and got right to cutting the bosses off for the coil packs. Last minute I decided to paint them silver. What do you think?

FINALLY!! It stopped raining here long enough for me to take a few shots of the car outside. Here's the best engine shot I have.

What is the exact paint codes from dupli-color for what you did? I know you said emerald green and mist metalic aqua or something like that but how exactly did you do it? It looks like a pretty good match, and I DEFINATELY need to do this aswell.

Assuming you are priming something and going from there, the first thing you need to do is paint it black otherwise it will take a whole can of green to cover what you are painting. Next use T 406 Emerald Green (M) from Duplicolor until you are satisfied you have covered all the black. Once the green is dry (enough to leave a faint fingerprint in the taped off area or table you are spraying on) lightly dust over the whole thing with DSGM440 Bright Aqua Metallic CC (comes in the small can) about a foot away from the piece. This step does not require you to completely cover what you are painting, only one coat of a light dusting is necessary to make the green blue flop.

The last painting step is their top coat clear. You can go as nuts with this as you want but the real kicker is when you wet sand and buff out the part. This will allow you to see the color change much easier and give you that super deep effect.

Hope this helps you and please post your progress too.

I think it looks quality, especially for some rattle can paint. I think there is too much green however.

Glad the loom is gone. I like what you got going there so far but I have one word of caution...Put ARP rod bolts in your bottom end if you already haven't. I was reading your sig. and noticed you make some good numbers on that 98. I lost my 98 TA over a scant 200 dollar investment.

I like the clear lid and painted MAF too. I may think about stealing one of your ideas now.

I think I have used two cans of the emerald (large cans) total, two cans of clear (also large) and only one can of the aqua (small can) and I still have half a can of each color.
