6 Point Rollbar - Rear Seat Still Usable?
This may be a dumb question, but with a 6 point rollbar (even a 4 point), is the rear seat un-usable? How easy is it to get in and out of the rear seat with the rollbar installed? Is it safe to sit back there with the rollbar installed? I just want to know if I am essentially making a 2-seater by installing a rollbar? Thanks!

It seems like you know the answer. A roll bar increases the likelihood of serious injury to anyone (driver included) not wearing belts and a helmet. You could be found guilty of criminal negligence if a passenger is injured.

This may seem like a dumb statment but if you've goten to the point where you need a roll bar then the car is probably seeing more strip time than crusing time anyway. Unless you don't need the roll bar and just want one for looks than please concider what was said by Hector in post #2...

don't know about a 4 point, but even a 6 point makes the rear seats essentially useless. Even in a low speed impact where the driver and passenger in front would walk away without a scratch, people in the back could get seriously injured from the roll bar. Even if there's padding there.

I know a guy who has a 6 point cage in his trans am and people still get in his back seat. I've never seen anyone do it, but he said they kind of do a backwards limbo under the bar and get in the seat. He doesn't need the cage, but he bought it like that.
If I were going to put a cage in, I would do a rear seat delete.
If I were going to put a cage in, I would do a rear seat delete.

even with a seatbelt on with a moderate collision, imagine your friend's and family's head caving in because it bashed into a chromemoly bar at 40-70 mph. harsh, but thats whats going to happen if they sit back there. i considered it, and common sense was telling me thats a terrible idea. why risk it?
