Default how do remove swirl marks

My paint looks amazing in over cast and right before dark but whenever the sun shines directly on it, it looks like garbage. I tried Turtle wax black box but is it a bad idea to have it professionally buffed?

You will need to buff the paint to remove swirl marks. It is not hard to do, but it does take time. Some have done small areas by hand, but that will kill you. With the right tools and products you will be very pleased. The Porter Cable and some swirl cutter will take care of it. I can hook you up with a PC kit and products if your interested in doing it yourself. If you were closer you could stop by

You will not be able to do it by hand. You need a Porter Cable with a yellow pad and a swirl remover compound if its as bad as you say it is. If its not that bad you could get away with an orange pad. Go to tropi-care.com and also call them and talk to steve.

Just FYI: Tropi-Care is no more. The name is changed to ShowroomFX. Same great products and service, just a new name. I am a dealer for them.

I would like to learn how to buff, but I don't want my paint to be the guinnea pig. I'd rather leave it to professionals. I also heard that it looks bad after buffing a black car. Any idea how much it would cost to buff my car?

PC kit is a little over $200. You don't need to be afraid. You can not mess up your paint with a PC. They designed it so newbies won't f up their paint. Because they made it safer to use it takes longer than a professional buffer but you don't need to worry about burning your paint. And we can give you detailed instructions so you can do it right. Its really easy. Just tedious and time consuming. And don't pay someone to do it. You'll have to keep paying over and over everytime you need it done when you can do it yourself for free.

Buy the kit once and get some quality products and never pay anyone again. The BlueKnight is right. The PC is very user friendly and will only harm the paint if you drop the buffer on the car.

caseypryan: sent you a PM on the PC kit

Rotary buffers work well too, but with those, you can **** up your paint. I would recommend the PC, unless you know what you are doing with a rotary (IE, me or someone who has detailed cars before for a living)

Hit quick links on the toolbar above and scroll down to "edit signature"
Make sure you dont include like a paragraph of your car and a huge pic. A very small one works well.

And blackls1ta, I was born in Apollo!

As it has already been posted swirls will have to be buffed out. If you don't mind spending some money you can purchase some tools and products and get to practicing. Its not terribly difficult but it will take a little work. Honestly if you want to learn I would recommend you search and join a detailing forum then start reading. You'll find tons of good info and help you get started.
