Default shop price to do whistler mod?

Wassup guys,

Whats a ball park price for a stereo/alarm place to do the whistler mod?

I 'd do it my self but i can bring myself to hackin up my only pair of headlights on my dd.

It will probably be easier to do it yourself than to try to explain to a shop what you want done & how to do it and all. I think you would be greeted with the WTF face from the shop. No offence intended...

exactly.

it takes no effort at all. the hardest parts, which arent actually hard at all, are 1) actually allowing yourself to stick your lights in the oven at 200+ degrees. 2) pulling the lens/housing apart, you kinda think your gonna break something, even though theres really nothing you're gonna break.

I know its simple but I was worried about cutting up the lenses.

Its going to be a good experience.

You don't have to cut up anything. Heat, Open, Mask, Paint, Close, Profit. I've done 3 of these and it only takes an hr or so.

But yes, a shop will rape you on the price. That if you can actually find one that will do it.

no don't paint the back of the light. u will lose the illuminating properties of the light.

Yeah thats what I figured. Anybody know if this stuff called Amazing Goop would work to re seal the light? bought at auto zone because it was on sell so thought why the hell not..
