I would just tape up the fender lips and spray them black, it will definately make it look alot better. You could also try and coat it with POR 15, it's good stuff i used it on my rear end and has held up well. It likes coarse surfaces for best results, so i dont know how well it would work for the front wheelwells, but would definately be a good choice for the rears.

FWIW, I just used satin black Rustoleum... I used brush-on so I'd avoid overspray...the brush marks don't show and they look nice and clean.

Best results I have seen yet is using Duplicolor truck bed liner paint in the wheel wells. It's a nice smooth finish, cleans incredibly easily and looks great.

Have to agree with the ""rattle" can solution of the bedliner!! For best results take them off and do them if you have the time and patience.Wash extremely good with hot water and soap, scuff with ""gray"" or ""red"" scuff pad(3M),wash again, use rubbing alcohol to wipe down with,""feel"" for any oils or greases, reclean with alcohol, then get as far away as possible from car(to avoid "overspray"),apply light to medium coats allowing 15-20 minutes between to your desired thickness and texture!!

For the rear wells I had to touch up a small area where the plates for my cage showed, anyways, I used some undercoating with black paint on them and the results were awesome looking! Just my 2 cents worth.

Use the undercoating with black paint for the rear wheel wells.

In response to ""Todd2001SS"",there are several types of "undercoatings",some of which work great, then others that do more damage than good.In the short of it all STAY AWAY from ""rubberized"" undercoatings,(never fully dry,and will actually cause rust!!)Stick with the ""rattlecan"" bedliner.

Where is the best place to get the bedliner stuff you all are talking about, and how much?

I think that is what I may do. I may take them out though to do this. The fronts have a dirt scum on them that is THICK. I took a putty knife to it, and it barely budged it. I think this little project may take longer than expected.
